General Counsel

As Vice President, General Counsel for Global Holdings, LLC, Brent’s duties include that of making legal and regulatory decisions involving the company, its officers, and employees.  Brent is responsible for managing litigation, licensing, and regulatory inquiries from various state and federal agencies. Brent also oversees the implementation of agreements and procedures that position our company in alignment with the revenue goals of the organization while still meeting all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, as General Counsel, he is responsible for establishing and maintaining practices that allow the company to pass compliance exams and audits as a dedicated account provider and licensed money transmitter.

Prior to joining Global, Brent served as corporate counsel for Verizon’s Wholesale Division, a $9 billion division, and successfully managed the drafting and negotiation of contracts, regulatory compliance, oversight of marketing and communications, legal analysis and client relations. As counsel for that division, he served as 30(b)(6) for hearings with the various state’s public utility commissions.  Brent has over 20 years of experience as corporate counsel and served four years working for the Military Intelligence branch of the U.S. Army prior to joining Verizon. Brent has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Oklahoma State University, and Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Tulsa.
